Week 08
Cadence Circuit and Simulation Workflow
I revisit transmission lines through Wilkinson and branch-line networks using my assignments, Cadence circuits, and S-parameter figures.

What I connect in this unit
A Cadence workflow links schematic construction, port and reference setup, frequency sweep, and marker reading into one verification chain. Incorrect port numbering or units upstream can make a smooth final graph describe the wrong circuit.
Concept map
- Schematic construction
- Port setup
- Frequency sweeps
- Marker reading
Technical anchor
Transfer each port's number, Zref, and ground from the schematic into a setup table, and record sweep start, stop, and resolution. Read every marker with curve name, frequency, and complex or dB value.
How I review it
Check for floating nodes and incorrect grounds before netlisting, then verify limiting behavior and curve order after simulation rather than judging only the screenshot shape.
Connection to the full course
Unit 8 of 12. Unit numbers arrange the saved assignments and circuits by concept flow rather than attendance weeks.
