ISI and the Nyquist Criterion

What I connect in this unit
Inter-symbol interference occurs when channel and filter spreading carries one symbol pulse into neighboring decision instants. The Nyquist zero-ISI condition leaves only the desired pulse at each sample, and an eye diagram reveals timing-offset and noise penalties.

Technical anchor
An equivalent pulse satisfying g(0) = 1 and g(kT) = 0 for nonzero integer k gives zero ISI at the correct symbol timing.
How I review it
Overlay waveform segments one symbol period long, identify the sampling point at maximum eye opening, and mark loss of vertical margin as timing offset grows.
