Clippers and Clampers

What I connect in this unit

A clipper limits waveform extrema at a diode conduction boundary, while a clamper stores charge to shift the DC level. A Zener regulator fixes an output near breakdown voltage, so each circuit requires piecewise operating regions.

Technical anchor

For a positive 0.7 V clipper, use Vout ≈ Vin when Vin ≤ 0.7 V and Vout ≈ 0.7 V when Vin > 0.7 V.

How I review it

Assume diode ON or OFF in each input interval, test whether the calculated voltages support that assumption, and mark the output DC level and clipping threshold.
