What I connect in this unit

Controller comparison is not a contest on one metric; it combines time-domain requirements, frequency-domain requirements, robustness, and control effort in one design decision. Simulation comparisons are meaningful only under the same plant, input, and limits.

Technical anchor

Annotate overshoot and settling bands on the step plot, crossover and margins on the loop Bode plot, and u(t) on a separate axis. A family of curves under plant-parameter variation exposes robustness.

How I review it

Complete the same requirement matrix for each candidate controller and note which condition fails first under gain variation or saturation, rather than ranking nominal response alone.
